Raison D'Etre / Reason 2 be believe that music is an essential part of life. It is spiritual, personal, meaningful and primal. It is a reflection of the times and a catalyst for change. It helps you to remember and to forget. It lets you celebrate, mourn, learn, empathise, enjoy, wonder, and most of all it encourages you to sing and dance and play! It is a beautiful and strange and important part of what it is to be human.

Our lives are about music, performance & art. For 15 years we have been in London and have seen a lot of performers playing for unsupportive audiences and promoters. Our passion and experience for music and diverse cultures led to the formation of Raison d'Etre Collective in 2000. Raison d'Etre created an opening for us to collaborate with performers and to provide opportunities for them to get on stage and perfrom for enthusiastic and large audiences. Raison d'Etre is about quality and sharing, and is primarily a promotional platform for performers to give the best show they can give. Its structure as a collective creates a unique environment where performers support one another in the sharing of their art. It is our mission to reach as many different audiences as possible and the work of Raison d'Etre is aimed at people of all ages, cultural, social and demographic backgrounds and economic conditions.
