SIZE NINE

- UK's Number One Latin Funk Soul Orchestra

Roll up Roll up! Ladies and Gentleman, release your inhibitions and let loose your soul for the most glamorous, butshakin, party making band that your senses have ever felt…

Bringing back the deep fried funk and soul, South London’s finest bring the freshest party sound with a retro edge. Fronted by Brit School Diva, Breezy Lee, their stage spectacular is driven by the tightest rhythm section since Tower of Power and flanked by their uniquely sensual horn section. Sizenine have funked out at all the top London venues (Koko, Jazz Café, Cargo, the Pigalle and 100Club to name but a few) and are playing Glastonbury at the Pussy Parlure again this year.

Their influences range from Janis Joplin to James Brown to Dub Step and then back to the blues. Unusually, Sizenine do not use session players, they are a music family and write all their songs together. Because of this their sound is always fresh and means their fan base ranges from the kids that feel the lyrics and beats, to the older generations that remember what a real show is supposed to be like.

The best undiscovered band of 2008, the Sizenine show is incomparable to anything happening at the moment.
A close connection with DJ Healer Selecta’s Raison d’etre means that whenever and wherever they play the party always blows up.
