- A great songwriter, with incredible piano-playing

London-based, 23 year old singer/songwriter Phildel creates epic,
piano-driven music which fuses the virtuoso classical genre with
contemporary songwriting and mainstream beats. As an entirely
self-produced artist, she weaves elements of electronica into her
classical style whilst always maintaining her ability to craft
unforgettable vocal, as well as instrumental, melodies into each
track.
Phildel grew up in a strict religous household in which music was
forbidden. At the age of eighteen, she left home and began composing
and songwriting on the piano, the harsh nature of her up-bringing and
the love of those who brought her through it, provide the inspiration
for much of her creative work. Since leaving home, she has worked
composing and songwriting with a range of other artists - her first
studio experience was within Massive Attack's Bristol-based studio,
after members from the group welcomed her having warmed to her sound.
In the years to follow, Phildel found herself working with some of the
UK industry's leading figures, including Sam Dixon (fresh from his
collaborations with KT Tunstall) and Phil Bodger, rated as "one of the
world's most talented mixer/prodcers", whilst gigging frequently on
the London-circuit. Phildel, always keen to manager herself and
maintain as much control as possible over her work. Having had her
tracks short-listed for Hollywood feature films, Phildel finally
found nationwide exposure in 2007, having had her track "Piano B"
selected to be used on Expedia's UK TV advertising campaign. Phildel
now focuses on the creation of her long-awaited first album and
continues to perform in the UK. Phildel's EP is available from
