Jule Eckhardt

- Paintress
Jule Eckhardt *** paintress *** Jule Eckhardt both lives and works in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. Her art is all bright and clear-cut colours, inspired by pop art and 60s styles. A little world of her own, but dealing with everyday issues. One picture might be about big city night life (“Lass uns tanzen”), another one might comment on a political campaign (“Wir sind Deutschland”) or the bird flu (“Vogelgrippe”). Sometimes if you look closer to the pictures you will find a hidden darker or even cruel side to the seemingly nice settings. Jule Eckhardt grew up in a beautiful small town called Kuehlungsborn near the Baltic Sea. Both her parents have been artists. Her mother Karin, a ceramicist, and her father Wolfgang Eckhardt, a locally well known painter always encouraged her artistic ambitions. It was also her father who taught her all the basics about painting and fine arts in general. A solid foundation to leave the modern art scene astounded today.
