Healer Selecta: A Legendary surf guitarist and one of the finest party DJs around. With his label “King A Ling Records”, he has produced bands including his "Duo Studio Band", The Popcorn Brothers in the late 90's with Liam Watson from Toe Rag Studio… he is also the Co-creator of the Raison D'Etre International Music Lover collective in London.

Yvan aka Healer Selecta first came to England in the early 90's with the first legendary drummer from the Cramps, Mirriam Linna and Norton Records Boss Billy Miller with the A BONES. The second time, he was invited to play his wild surf guitar by Legendary BBC Radio 1 John Peel and promoter Josh Collins (Fratshack) to open Dick Dale Show (Pulp Fiction) at The Forum in London. The same day he recorded an album in 3 hours at Toe Rag Studio with his Surf Guitar Orchestra, The Showman & The Thunderous Staccatos. Since, Healer Selecta has been living in the UK.


Today, with his new project, The Healer Selecta Sound System, as usual he brings together all his skills ( musician/producer/DJ) and his love for proper party dance music in the best ever live format, for an unique party sound! Healer produces, arranges and writes all the songs as well as playing guitar. Vocals are arranged and written by Aina Westlye and Asher Storm with the backing band for the studio featuring musicians from The Raison d'Etre collective who have been selected by Healer Selecta and are called THE DUSTAPHONICS.


On stage, The Healer Selecta Sound System are the perfect party sound around! A great mix of a high skill party DJ and Live PA with Asher and Aina on vocals as well as Healer Selecta on guitar plus occasional extra musicians such as a trumpet player and dancers.

How did they meet? Asher first met Healer at his DJ session "Funk I Tus" in Shoreditch. Following this, Asher started to come to the Raison D'Etre open mic. The Raison D'Etre - Reason2b Collective was formed in early 2000 by Healer Selecta in which he helps to promote independent artists. Since, Healer and Storm have worked together with Aina who joined the collective later on. Last year, HEALER SELECTA decided to dedicate more time to his productions and live music. He also decided to finalise the project of the HEALER SELECTA SOUND SYSTEM & THE DUSTAPHONICS after spending a lot of his time developing a new scene in London whilst helping a large list of independent and unsigned artists perform their music in famous venues such as Cargo, Jazz Cafe, Spitz, Koko, Pigalle Club, Glastonbury Festival, etc.
