- Pulp Fiction Rock-Surf Guitar Legend

We have the immense honour to present to you, a living legend!
"The king of Surf Rock Guitar", Dick Dale single-handedly created the loud and wild surfing sound in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Not only did he inspire many generation of guitarists ( including Jimi Hendrix, etc..) but he was instrumental in the development of FENDER amplifiers, as he shredded speakers left and right to the dismay and delight of Leo Fender, the company's founder.
For some music fans, Dick Dale is the "King of Surf Guitar , a Guitar Hero" who collaborate with Leo Fender, the boss and genius behind the music equipment company, Fender. Together they created in the early 60's a new "phat" sound with the Dual Showman super amplifier and a new prototype of Fender Reverb Unit, a mainstay of band equipment throughout the 1960's. The origin of Surf Music can be directly attributed to DICK DALE & The DEL-TONES, he brought together and honed the elements that defined the surf music style! Forceful trebly thunderous staccato "double-picking" style guitar sound, overloaded with tons of reverberation, coupled with strong drum beat and Middle Eastern & Mediterranean melodies! Real Surf Music is 95% purely Instrumental, loud and wild! Songs such as "Take It Off', Let's Go Trippin'" "The Wedge" are a must to have on your ipod today...Dick Dale is still using his 60's original gear on stage even today, the same used in May 1962 on the recording of 'Mirsalou"for Deltone Record !
For other music fans, his version of Greek traditional song "Mirsalou" is a landmark of such cult movies as Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino or other blocbuster like " Charlie's Angel 2", he even created the draft for the world hit “punk It” performed by the BLACK EYED PEAS.
DICK DALE is the man, that taught Jimi Hendrix to play the guitar and who is named to be one of the main influences of musicians such as The Beach Boys, Pete Townsend (The Who), Eddie Van Halen , Motorhead, the CRAMPS, even the late 70's Punk rock scene, the Hip Hop scene and the early "UK's Junglist & Drum & Bass scene" sampled and used his unique sound".
