Carolina Maggio attended the Umberto Boccioni artistic school in her native Milan. Here at Raison D'Etre collective we are very very impressed by this 18 year old artist, we believe that she is going to be one of the main artist in the art scene in the few years to come, her work is all ready wonderfull so with more years of experience she will for sure touch " la perfection". She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and uses many of the experiences she has garnered to breathe life into her paintings. Carolina paints to capture expression and emotion be it passion, fear, eroticism, dreams etc. She does this to try and stress the importance of emotion and the importance of recognising our base human emotions even though many times social constrictions require us to ignore them. All of her paintings are produced in one sitting to make sure that her mood and the reasons for creating the work do not change. Carolina is currently working as part of the New Renaissance movement which has started in Italy and is gradually spreading throughout Western Europe. She has had many exhibitions throughout Italy and London and can now be seen exclusively at As Yet Unknown in Camden Town.
